Ride the Byroads ("RTB", "we", "our" or "us") respects your privacy, and we are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains the information and personal data (collectively "personal information") we collect, use and share, along with how you can get in touch with us regarding any privacy-related inquiries you may have.

This Policy applies to the following services provided by us (collectively, the "Services"):

  • The ridethebyroads.com website (the "Site")

  • The RTB mobile application (the "App")

We collect personal information about you, including information that directly or indirectly identifies you. We also collect personal information about how you use the Services.

Personal Information You Provide to Us

  • Geolocation Data: If you have enabled location services for our App on your mobile device, we may collect your precise location information based on city, state, zip code, country, latitude and longitude. Geolocation data is used for purposes of showing your location on the trail and map.

  • Pictures, metadata and other information from your device's camera and photo library when uploading images

We use this information to provide features of our Services, to improve and customise our Services. The information may be uploaded to our servers and/or a service provider's server or it may be simply stored on your device.

You can enable or disable access to this information at any time, through your device settings.

Personal Information We Receive from Third Parties

We allow you to authenticate to our App using accounts you have created with third-party products and services, such as Facebook, Google or Apple (collectively, "Third-Party Accounts"). We will receive information you may choose to make available to us based on your Third-Party Accounts settings. You can generally control the information that we receive from these sources using the provided privacy controls in your Third-Party Account.

If you choose to provide such personal information, during registration or otherwise, you are giving us permission to use, share, and store it in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.

How We Use Personal Information

We may use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our Services, including to monitor the usage of our Services.

  • To manage Your Account: to manage your registration as a user of our Services. The personal information you provide can give you access to different functionalities of our Services that are available to you as a registered user.

Do Not Track Signals

Our Site currently does not respond to "Do Not Track" ("DNT") signals and operates as described in this Privacy Policy whether or not a DNT signal is received.

We will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
